Wool Gift Bag

Consider the Wool Booze Bottle Gift Bag as a sustainable option for wrapping your gifts this holiday season.

Made from the sleeves of suit coats, these gift bags are unique, classy, and reusable!

Wool suit coats can be purchased at charity shops and garage sales. They should be clean and free of stains and rips.

Remove the sleeves from your selected suit coat.  Set aside the remaining parts of the suit coat - they can be used in another project.

Trim the bottom of the sleeve so it is straight and even.

Turn the sleeve inside out and sew along the bottom.

Turn the sleeve right side out.

Iron the sleeve.  Make sure your iron is set for wool—you don’t want to scorch or burn it.

I typically make several at one time.

Add a unique gift tag - leather tags, shipping tags, or large buttons are just a few ideas. 

These lovely gift bags are great for bottles of booze.  Measure the girth of the bottle to ensure it will fit inside the bag.
